From prisons to hospitals, and anywhere people are hurting, I care deeply about helping people tell the story of what is happening to them now, and how it fits into the larger story of who they are, who God is, and what really matters. Read some of my blog posts on this topic here.

Preaching & Teaching

Before beginning my formal training for ministry, I was a teacher. I have more than seven years’ experience teaching English as a Second Language, both in the U.S. and abroad. Whether in the pulpit or in the classroom, I embrace a pedagogy of liberation that values the stories and contributions of all who are involved in that “teaching moment.” Read some of my sermons here.

Wedding Officiant

Opening one’s life and heart to committed partnership with another is an unparalleled act of hope, vulnerability, and hospitality. As a minister, it is my great honor to be able to support couples in celebrating and formalizing that partnership! I am available to officiate marriage ceremonies in NYC and beyond. Read more here.

Parenting

Motherhood is a messy and holy vocation: no other experience brings me into closer contact with my limitations and my powers. It enlarges my compassion and identification with all parents and children, who navigate a not-made-for-them world with stunning vulnerability and courage.
